The article considers the role of ethnographisms in the language system, ethnolinguistic schools in the history of linguistics and scholarly works on the ethnolinguistics of the Kazakh language.

В статье рассматриваются роль этнографизмов в языковой системе, этнолингвистические школы в истории языкознания и научные труды по этнолингвистике казахского языка.
