The contribution of women scientists of Uzbekistan to the development of their homeland

The article analyzes the role of women scientists of Uzbekistan in science, higher education and innovative development on the basis of official statistics, government portals and the scientific literature. The aim of the study is to assess the contribution of women scientists to the development of the country in terms of participation, academic degrees, leadership, international recognition and the support system. Open data from the National Statistics Committee, the Academy of Sciences and government portals, as well as articles in domestic scientific journals, were examined using statistical, comparative and content analysis methods. The results showed that in 2025 the share of women reached 40.4% among specialist researchers and 48.2% in postgraduate education. However, this share declines as academic degree and position rise: 22.2% among doctors of science, 7.7% among academicians and 28% among heads of active research projects. The article concludes with recommendations on strengthening research leadership, increasing participation in international publications and introducing unified statistical monitoring.

В статье на основе официальной статистики, данных государственных порталов и научной литературы анализируется роль женщин-учёных Узбекистана в науке, высшем образовании и инновационном развитии. Цель исследования – оценить вклад женщин-учёных в развитие страны в разрезе участия, учёных степеней, руководства, международного признания и системы поддержки. В ходе анализа открытые данные Национального комитета по статистике, Академии наук и государственных порталов, а также статьи из отечественных научных журналов изучены методами статистического, сравнительного и контент-анализа. Результаты показали, что в 2025 году доля женщин среди специалистов-исследователей достигла 40,4 %, а в послевузовском образовании составила 48,2 %. Однако по мере роста учёной степени и должности эта доля снижается: среди докторов наук – 22,2 %, среди академиков – 7,7 %, среди руководителей действующих научных проектов – 28 %. В завершение статьи даны рекомендации по усилению научного лидерства, расширению участия в международных изданиях и внедрению единого статистического мониторинга.

Maqolada O‘zbekiston olima ayollarining ilm-fan, oliy ta’lim va innovatsion rivojlanishdagi o‘rni rasmiy statistika, davlat portallari va ilmiy adabiyotlar asosida tahlil qilinadi. Tadqiqotning maqsadi – olima ayollarning mamlakat taraqqiyotiga qo‘shayotgan hissasini ishtirok, ilmiy daraja, rahbarlik, xalqaro e’tirof va qo‘llab-quvvatlash tizimi kesimida baholash. Tahlilda Milliy statistika qo‘mitasi, Fanlar akademiyasi va davlat portallarining ochiq ma’lumotlari hamda mahalliy ilmiy jurnallardagi maqolalar statistik, qiyosiy va kontent-tahlil usullari bilan o‘rganildi. Natijalar shuni ko‘rsatdiki, 2025-yilda mutaxassis-tadqiqotchilar orasida ayollar ulushi 40,4 foizga yetgan, oliy ta’limdan keyingi ta’limda esa 48,2 foizni tashkil etgan. Biroq ilmiy daraja va lavozim oshgani sayin bu ulush kamayadi: fan doktorlari orasida 22,2 foiz, akademiklar orasida 7,7 foiz, faol ilmiy loyihalar rahbarlari orasida 28 foiz. Maqola yakunida ilmiy yetakchilikni kuchaytirish, xalqaro nashrlarda ishtirokni oshirish va yagona statistik monitoring joriy etish bo‘yicha tavsiyalar beriladi.
