Аннотация
Pancreatitis is an inflammation of the pancreas that may be acute or chronic. This condition arises when the enzymes produced by the pancreas begin to digest its own tissues, which can lead to damage and serious complications. The causes of pancreatitis may range from alcohol abuse and gallstones to genetic disorders and infections. Timely diagnosis and treatment of pancreatitis are critically important for preventing severe consequences such as infection, abscess or necrosis of the pancreatic tissue. The article examines the main causes, symptoms, diagnostic methods and modern approaches to the treatment of pancreatitis.
