Аннотация

This article scientifically analyzes effective pedagogical methods for forming and developing speech etiquette competence in students during foreign language instruction. In modern language teaching methodology, communicative competence occupies a crucial position, and one of its integral components is speech etiquette competence. Speech etiquette competence reflects a language learner’s ability to use linguistic units appropriately, politely, and acceptably in specific social contexts. This competence encompasses not only linguistic knowledge but also socio-cultural norms and communication culture. The article highlights the essence of speech etiquette competence in foreign language teaching, its role within the system of communicative competence, and methodological approaches that contribute to its development in students. This article is of practical significance for educators, researchers, and language learners engaged in foreign language teaching methodology and may serve to enhance contemporary educational practices.
